File offer

The written material created in the administration, faculties, institutes, seminars and other facilities of the university is the property of Clausthal University of Technology and thus of the state of Lower Saxony. It may not be destroyed, but must be offered to the University Archives for acquisition. Further details are regulated by the Service Instruction on the Retention, Separation, Archiving and Destruction of Written Material of Clausthal University of Technology of December 3, 2013.

According to § 3 para. 1 sentence 3 NArchG, all written material must be offered to the university archive no later than 30 years after the last processing of the content!

It is advisable to provide a list of files that includes the file titles or, in the case of uniform files, the type of file and the period covered. Please call us or send us an e-mail.
